Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The simple answer is YES! At the very least you should consult with one before accepting any settlement with your insurance company. While your insurance company has a duty to pay for damages after a loss, they will use THEIR adjuster and THEIR estimator to establish the value. Often these values are simply pulled out of a piece of software and don't reflect actual real world values accurately. This is where a Public Adjuster can help. We prepare our own estimate of damages and negotiate with the insurance company to make sure you get every penny you deserve.
Rates for Public Adjusters are set by statute in most States. In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts the rate is set at a maximum of 10% of the total value of the claim. Rates can be negotiated with a public adjuster but typically cannot exceed the 10% mark.
